As a rheumatologist, Dr. Pineda Bernal specializes in the diagnosis and treatment diseases that affect the body’s musculoskeletal system, including joints and soft tissues, as well as certain autoimmune diseases, vasculitis, and inherited connective tissue disorders.

Dr. Pineda Bernal regularly sees patients who have new or chronic musculoskeletal complaints, including problems in the shoulders, hips, and knee pain. His areas of particular interest include: reactive arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease-related arthritis, and all other common and uncommon rheumatic diseases.

Dr. Pineda Bernal is a graduate of Universidada CES Escuela de Medicina in Coloumbia. He continued his medical education as an Internal Medicine Resident at the Harlem Hospital Center in New York, NY where he also studied as a General Surgery Resident. Dr. Pineda Bernal completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Southwest Texas in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Pineda Bernal and his wife are avid soccer fans and enjoy the outdoors.
