Infusion Therapy
Infusion therapy at St. Croix Health is the IV administration of medication or nourishment into your veins. You may need infusion therapy if you are dehydrated, or have a nutritional deficiency, infection, cancer, or renal failure.
Infusion therapy can decrease time spent in the hospital allowing you to return to work, school, or home with a decreased risk of infections. Because these services are delivered in an outpatient setting, medical costs are lower, and you will spend less time in a healthcare center.
Our infusion centers work closely with local specialists to provide personalized treatment for you and your family. Our registered nurses are certified in oncology nursing, immunotherapy, and biotherapy to provide high quality care in a peaceful setting close to home. Providing local, excellent care is important to us which is why we accept orders from other health systems. We also provide patient and family education, case management, social services, spiritual services, and emotional support.
